Buddha’s Precinct And Human Imagery Museum - B23
Private tour: Every morning and afternoon.
Seat-in-coach tour: Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning only, minimum 4 persons.
Travel along a wide and very beautiful 3.5-km ornamental avenue, built only recently and leading directly to the Buddha’s Precinct which commemorates the 2,500th anniversary of the Buddha’s death. The main feature of the Precinct is a 15-metre-high walking Buddha statue. See also the Tripitaka or Buddhist Scriptures, the equivalent of 46 volumes, elegantly engraved on huge marble slabs. Then visit the nearby Thai Human Imagery Museum, Thailand’s equivalent of Madame Tussaud’s, with almost incredibly lifelike sculptures of people from all walks of life including famous Buddhist monks.
Tour participants will be picked up at hotels and sent back to hotels after the tour. Those staying at hotels near the airport are required to make own way to join the tour at a hotel in the central area such as the Indra Regent Hotel.
