The Temples of the Taste - From Palermo

Day 1 - Palermo / Marsala
Arriving in Palermo. Rent your car ( on your own) Road for Segesta, then Erice, cooking lesson and visit a cellar in Marsala. Dinner and overnight
in a “Baglio” near Marsala.

To see: The doric temple of Segesta , the medieval borough of Erice dominating the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea, Castello di Venere, antiques “baglio” where you will take a cooking lesson before tasting your dinner. Night in Marsala

Day 2 - Marsala / Caltagirone
Road for Agrigente and the valley of the Temples, lunch in a farm house,
road for Piazza Armerina. Typical dinner and overnight in the surroundings
of Caltagirone, in a typical country Inn

To see: The Greek temples of the plate of Agrigento, the mosaics of the villa del Casale with Piazza Armerina, The ceramics workshops of Caltagirone. Night in Caltagirone

Day 3 - Caltagirone / Etna
Morning in Syracuse, fish lunch in a restaurant facing the sea , afternoon
in the vineyards of Etna and night with San Venerina

To see: The vestiges of the Greek colony on the island of Ortygie, the temple of Apollo, the temple of Athena and the cathedral, the baroque palaces  of the city centre  and the rich museums of Syracuse. The fertile slopes of Etna, their vineyards and cellars, and the sight of the Ionian sea. Night at the slopes of Etna

Day 4 - Etna / Taormina
Morning excursion to Etna (optional jeep excursion to the crater), lunch on the sides of the volcano in a baron house, night in Taormina

To see: The volcanic demonstrations of Etna, Azienda Trinita, property of the baron Boniajuto where  you will taste the kitchen, the bay of Taormina and its  Greek theatre, its lanes and its beaches. Night in Taormina

Day 5 - Taormina /  Polizzi generosa
Drive to Madonie Park, in the north of the island. Lunch in a farm house  in Polizzi. Visit of Polizzi Generosa and tasting of “sfoglio”, local cake containing cheese and chocolate. Cooking lesson in a local family house. Night in a country inn.

To see: The roads of the interior of Sicily, The valleys of Madonies, the medieval town of Polizzi Generosa, its museum. Night in the Madonie Park

Day 6 - Madonie Park  / Palermo
Drive to Palermo. Drop off the car.
